Building Mount Sequoyah's Next Strategic Plan
Mount Sequoyah is entering a new chapter. The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted our hospitality bookings, camp season, and arts programming, and it took real work from our staff and board to keep this place running through those years. We're grateful for that effort, and this plan builds on the stable footing it left us.
The time has come to think deliberately about where we go next, how we grow our offerings and how we build the financial and organizational foundation to support that growth for the long term.
This fall, our Board, staff, and community members are working together on a new strategic plan that will guide Mount Sequoyah through the next several years. A planning committee drawn from all three groups is leading the process, gathering input, stress-testing ideas, and bringing data to the full Board and staff for a process of reflection, deliberation, and planning.
How the process works
Between September and December, the committee is reviewing where Mount Sequoyah stands today, listening to the people who know us best, and working through priorities together ahead of a final plan. The plan that comes out of this process will reflect not just the committee's own thinking, but input from staff, board members, donors, guests, artists, camp and program families, and the broader community.
We want to hear from you
You know Mount Sequoyah from your own vantage point, whether that's as a donor, a wedding or retreat guest, an artist in our Creative Spaces program, a camp or recreation family, a community partner, or simply a neighbor who has watched this place grow. Your perspective will directly shape the priorities in this plan.
The survey takes about 5 to 10 minutes. You'll be asked to select how you're connected to Mount Sequoyah, and the questions that follow will be tailored to that connection.
